Warhammer Fantasy Battle
Warhammer is a splendid fantasy wargame by
Games
Workshop. If you want some more information then I'd suggest
the GW site. My Wood Elf army is listed on the link below. However
before you look at it and say 'That's Wrong!' we're playing a year
long campaign with the following alterations:-
 |
- Character points are restricted to 25%
- War machines are restricted to 25%
- Armies start with 2000 points and gain 200 every month.
- Starting armies may only include one first level mage
(Who may be promoted by going to battles at 'The Portal')
- No magic items (Until battles at 'The Portal' where
everyone surviving gains the ability to buy magic items - 25
points per Portal battle)
- Character who are dubbed as being with a unit may be
included in that regiments points.
- 50% (points value) of current casualties come back for
the next month.
|
There are one or two exceptions to these rules, for example the
undead necromancer is a 4th level mage.
Anyway here are my army lists. I'll be posting the new version
as battles and casualties occur.
Thus I may I present The
Deepwoods Avengers
- July Portal Battle
2200 points
Update - A crushing defeat after a Very Stupid first
move. In a mass 3 army vs 4 army battle the Orcs got pretty
lucky and killed 785 points worth of my elves and routed most
of the rest. Non of my troops visited the portal and only four
units gained a portal level - only two of which can use it!
(Better than the High Elves who only had one soldier left
after a run in with a Demon Prince).
And now a quick photo
from that battle.
- August Forces After
July's debacle and having purchased my re-enforcements.
I've stopped posting my army lists to the web site since all of
the guys playing the opposing armies pointed out how useful it was
to them!

Finally over a year later the campaign is over, with the forces
of light (High Elves, Wood Elves, Empire, Dwarves and Bretonnia)
victorious... but only just. My army ended up at 4800 points, with
four tree men, one chariot and lots of scouts and archers. A good
time was had by all and thanks to SFB for running the whole thing.

Army Photocall -
Here for your delight (!) are
some over exposed and blurred photos of my army over exposed
and blurred photos of my army - okay they're not great but they do
show some of my army if you are interested.
