Dell Latitude LS Keyboard Removal

Since I had so many problems taking apart a Dell Latitude LSt laptop and couldn’t find any help on the web I thought I’d put this snippet of information here. You should be aware that this will invalidate your Dell warranty and should be done at your own risk. I did break one Latitude finding this information out so be warned!

• Insert a thin object vertically into the Cover Release hole shown on the diagram. I used a paper clip.
• I had to push fairly hard – but watch out you’re just depressing a plastic flap.
• Slide the panel to the left.
• The panel should move fairly easily if you have depressed the flap enough.
• You can now unscrew the four screws to release the keyboard.
